Appartment Berndlhof

The farm, known as Berndlhof, is located in the middle of Mitterberg, a climatic spa area. The village is actually called Zirting (800m above sea level) and is part of the municipal, Mitterberg – St. Martin. Our farm is situated in the tourism region, Schladming-Dachstein (Groebmingerland), which provides plenty of holiday activities. Thus, we are an ideal starting point for a recreational and/or adventurous summer and winter holiday. We are 5 minutes drive away from Groebming, where you can find shops, restaurants, pizzeria, cafeteria, pubs and a gas station. Groebming is also 15 minutes away from the skiing slopes in Haus, which is one of the entrances to the so-called “4-mountain-skiing swing”. These are 4 different ski resorts which are connected by ski lifts. Our farm Berndlhof is an agricultural grassland farm with about 35 cattle. 06 of them are cows, held for milk purposes held for milk purposes (Berndlhof-Cheese), and the rest are calves of various ages. Additionally we have two pigs and four cats. As mentioned above, part of our farm is a chalet called Kaltenbachalm, which we service for three months during the summer. We offer self-made products. Kaltenbachalm (1600m above sea level) is about 30km away from Berndlhof at the Soelkpass submontane. During the summer it is easily accessible by car and offers hiking opportunities at various difficulty levels, starting from lovely paths for families, to more advanced trails. Facilities: The friendly ambience of the spacious apartment has about 68 square meters and can accommodate 4 to 6 people: 2 bedrooms, each with a TV, table and wardrobe. Both bedrooms contain a double bed (king-sized) (180x200cm); one of them also has an additional single bed. A baby cot can also be provided upon request. The kitchen contains a rustic corner-seat and a table. There is a hallway with a garderobe and also a sofa bed for one additional person. The bathroom has a washing basin, a bath tub, and a shower. There is also a separate toilet and washing basin. The Mini Apartment Kammblick is a small apartment (approx. 30 m²) with a sleeping area (double bed 1.80 m x 200 m), a rustical corner bench (for 4 to 5 people), a kitchen and a bathroom with toilet and shower. The Double room is about 23m² with a bed 1.60 m x 200 m and a bathroom with toilet and shower. There is a cupboard with a kettle, a few dishes and flatware. If desired, farm products such as self-made farm bread, self-made butter and cheese can be provided upon request and subject to availability. The butter and cheese are produced at our Almhuette (our chalet which is located at 1600m above sea level and where our cows graze in the summer. Upon request you can make a reservation for Hara – Shiatsu. (Shiatsu Studio is 75 meters from the apartment) We are also happy to allow you to be part of our love of nature and agriculture, which may enhance your experience of feeling at home, and enable you to learn something about our home and agriculture. In Mitterberg, there are various hiking and walking paths. We will be delighted to provide you with more information about these opportunities. We offer rooms with view, we are right at the cross-country ski trail, near the forest and meadowlands. We have satellite TV, invigorated water, free crib/baby bed upon request in our apartment. We speak English & German, we have car parking lots and we accept cash payment.  We have farm products and animals at the farm (cats, cattle, horses). We sell milk products & cheese, bread. We offer rolls service, you can book a box in the horse stable for your own horse. Our apartment has a own kitchen for guests. We are sorry that we allow no pets. We have a private alpine hut at the Sölkpass which we farm and manage during summer.
